ADMT Lesson 1: Personal Reflection

1) To me ADMT means designing something that makes things easier for the world.
2) Without ADMT, our lives would become very boring as there would be no Technology or Art.
3) I want to learn how to design things as well as become more creative.
4) Without technology, we would ride bicycles(like the one in the picture)to get to places.

Week 3: Understanding 'Research' (part 2)

#3: Alternative Energy Sources:
Nuclear Energy:
Nuclear power station use nuclear fission to generate energy by the reaction of uranium-235 inside a nuclear reactor. The reactor uses uranium rods, the atoms of which are split in the process of fission, releasing a large amount of energy. The process continues as a chain reaction with other nuclei. The energy heats water to create steam, which spins a turbine generator, producing electricity.
Tidal power generation:
Tidal power can be extracted from Moon-gravity-powered tides by locating a water turbines in a tidal current, or by building impoundment pond dams that admit-or-release water through a turbine. The turbine can turn an electrical generator, or a gas compressor, that can then store energy until needed. Coastal tides are a source of clean, free, renewable, and sustainable energy.

Week 3: Understanding 'Research' (part 1)

1) What is research?(Please use your own definition/s!)
To me, research is finding out certain things about a certain topic and understanding what it is.
2) Why do you think research is important?
I think research is important because it helps us understand certain thing that we don't know about
3) How can we conduct good research?
We can conduct good research by using reliable sources like a book.
